Vicki Cheung
Psychotherapist and Clinical Counsellor

After 13, I still am in awe of Hong Kong. I love discovering new places in the city and exploring its many hiking trails with my husband and two young daughters.

Growing up in the culturally diverse city of Toronto, and through my travels around the world over the two decades, I have met many people with various experiences and life situations. I'm always intrigued to listen to their stories, and about how their culture, family background and history and life experiences has shaped them to who they are today.

My experiences working in the education field brought my attention to the understanding that humans thrive in environments that are safe, and when you help them uncover their inner potential to become their best self. This is true for each and every one of us.

Together let's work together to find a path to living your best life.

My Approach

After the initial consultation, the first session is an intake session. A thorough assessment is a key component to having a better understanding of your situation. This leads to better outcomes.

I see individuals on an open-ended basis, long or short-term. My aim is to give you a non-judgemental, safe space for you to talk about anything that concerns you, and then to help you to understand or process it. My counselling style is an integrative approach, which brings together different elements of specific therapies such as Mindfulness, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance Therapy, Existential Therapy and EMDR. This ensures that we're finding the therapy approach that is tailor fit for your needs.

I want you to feel valued and heard, so that you can feel comfortable about opening up to me. Anything you want to talk about will be welcomed, because it is all part of what makes you who you are.

Life is tough, sometimes all we need is someone to listen with unconditional regard and help us find a path to a life where we can Thrive.
